Meet our Instructors

Ms. Regan is a vocalist and musician from Port Washington, WI, now based in Nashville, TN, with a passion for singing to connect with the world and others around her. With a commercial music degree from Belmont University, focused in vocal performance, Ms. Regan has studied a variety of genres and styles, working hard to grow her technique for styles like jazz, R&B, gospel, pop, blues, country, and more. She has had the opportunity to perform alongside artists like Chris Potter and Cody Fry with Belmont's Award-winning vocal jazz ensemble, Jazzmin, at the Fisher Center. She takes inspiration from artists like Yebba, Amber Mark, Sammy Rae, Joss Stone, Sam Cooke, and Emily King. Regan currently sings background vocals for The James Leprette Band and Will Rosedale. She plans to attend graduate school in the future for vocal pedagogy to better study and master her instrument. Regan hopes to become a skillful and trusted vocal coach and help share inspiring music with others.

Ms. Rachel holds a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from Belmont University. During her studies, she was a member of the R&B/Gospel Ensemble Voxology and performed her original music in the highly selective Showcase series at Belmont's Curb Center Arena. Ms. Rachel is dedicated to helping emerging singers develop their voices and perform confidently for any audience. Outside of teaching, she performs as an artist around Nashville, enjoys reading, and goes for long walks.

Mr. Roze is an American TV and Film Actor, Writer, Voice-Over Artist and Songwriter.
Born and raised in South Texas, Ernesto began his journey in the entertainment industry as a drummer/ vocalist in local rock bands, playing small parts in school and church plays and basically being a class clown. His first major acting accomplishment was being directed by Peter Berg on the hit series Friday Night Lights. Life and new responsibilities brought him to New York City where he landed roles on Blue Bloods, Unforgettable, Body of Proof (opposite Dana Delany), X-Men: First Class (opposite Kevin Bacon) and Brawl in Cell Block 99 (opposite Vince Vaughn) among many others. In his spare time, Ernesto goes back to his first love, music, as he is an accomplished songwriter writing for major Country Music Artists.

Ms. Madeleine is a Nashville native who studied piano pedagogy at Belmont University. She started teaching by volunteering as a freshman at W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville, where she found her passion for teaching. She also studied child development and specializes in teaching young beginners, but enjoys teaching students of all ages! In addition to teaching, Ms. Madeleine can also be found crafting, cooking, watching movies, or playing with her cat. Ms. Madeleine joined the FBAA family in 2013 and has loved watching her students, and the piano program grow.

Ms. Olivia is originally from downtown Chicago, but moved to Nashville to pursue a degree in Commercial Music from Belmont University. Ms. Olivia started performing with her brother and sister when she was 11 years old, and has loved singing and performing ever since. During her time at Belmont, Ms. Olivia was a part of numerous ensembles, including the competitive acapella group, “The Beltones”. Ms. Olivia has also worked at “Upbeat Music and Arts” in Chicago teaching kids voice, piano, and guitar. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music as a Commercial Voice major with an emphasis in Songwriting. Ms. Olivia is now a singer/songwriter in Nashville and loves sharing her passion for music with kids at FBAA!

Originally from Moultrie, GA, Mr. Tucker is a music educator and performer based out of Nashville, TN. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in media production, Mr. Tucker completed his Master of Music Performance degree at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia under the direction of Dr. Ryan Smith. Throughout his graduate program, Mr. Tucker taught not only private music lessons but has also instructed larger ensembles such as steel band, percussion ensemble, and the VSU drumline. He has also had the opportunity to perform with orchestras including the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra (Valdosta, GA), the Albany Symphony Orchestra (Albany, GA), and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (Atlanta, GA). He has participated in clinics and masterclasses led by renowned drummers and percussionists including Leigh Howard Stevens, Michael Burritt, Ivan Trevino, Clayton Cameron, Dave Garibaldi, Dr. John Parks, Dr. Andy Harnsberger, Dr. Caitlin Jones, Dr. Gene Fambreau, Dr. Andy Kruspe, Cara Wildman, Britton-René Collins, and the Britain Moore duo. While at Valdosta State, Mr. Tucker was the principal percussionist in the Wind Ensemble and also performed with the Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Concert Choir, Blazin’ Brigade Marching Band, Opera Orchestra, and the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Natalie moved to Nashville, Tennessee from her hometown of Spokane, Washington in 2015 to pursue a music career and major in Commercial Music for Voice with a songwriting emphasis at Belmont University. During her time at Belmont, she sang in the esteemed vocal jazz ensemble “Jazzmin” as well as the student-led a cappella group “Prismatics”. Both groups taught her the importance of blending, tuning, listening, and challenging yourself. Ms. Natalie’s love for singing started from a very young age and recalls putting on “shows” in the living room for her family, often making up songs on the spot. During high school, she participated in 7 musicals, but her absolute favorite roles were Cinderella in Into the Woods and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She began taking professional voice lessons herself as a sophomore in high school where she trained both classically and commercially. Currently, when Natalie isn’t teaching, she is writing on her guitar or piano, performing around town, or working on releasing more music. She released her debut single “Small Talk” in July, and plans to keep releasing and writing more music. Ms. Natalie is so excited to be teaching at FBAA and cannot wait to help you find your voice, build your confidence, and watch you grow through music!

Mr. Steve is more than just your typical Nashville musician with 13 guitars. He’s quite possibly the only singer/songwriter/guitarist in Tennessee that has a master’s degree in geography from Kent State University in Ohio. Steve loves the diversity of music and its relationship to people, landscapes and locations. He has been teaching guitar and piano for more than 30 years and has been at Franklin Brentwood Arts Academy for 9 years. His band accompanied FBAA students on the Ryman stage for the 2019, 2022, & 2024 showcases!

Ms. Faith was born in Charlotte, NC and raised in 6 different states across the southern United States. She has always felt a passion for creating, arranging, and performing music. When she first arrived in Nashville, she discovered her love for soulful & interesting melodies, and soon began pursuing a career as an Alternative Jazz/Pop artist. After completing her studies at Belmont University, she graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Voice with an emphasis in Music Technology/Production. Ms. Faith now resides in Nashville as a full-time performer on Broadway, & freelance musician/vocalist as well as a part-time vocal instructor. She also runs live sound and does booking/MC work with Stompin' Grounds writer's collective. As a trained vocalist in many genres, her mission is to spread the joy of music that touches the soul. Whether it be through teaching, supporting, or solo performing, she aims to show others that their struggles are valid, and their message is worth sharing and in turn, provide them a portal to do so.

Mr. Damon is a North Dakota native where he studied vocal and piano performance at Dickinson State University. After graduating, he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he found prosperity teaching over 50 piano and voice students while simultaneously acting in film and theater. Mr. Damon also performed in bands and a worship team. Now calling East Nashville home, he can be found writing songs, practicing yoga and creating poems, art, and pottery. Mr. Damon is thrilled to be a part of the FBAA family and continue his passion for helping students grow musically and feel personally empowered.

Mr. Cole is a musician and songwriter originating from Burbank, California, where he began playing guitar at the age of eleven. Soon afterward he started performing in rock and jazz groups around the Greater Los Angeles area. In 2014, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to study Commercial Music at Belmont University, where he performed in the school’s highest level ensembles, including its prestigious groups Jazz Band 1 and Small Group 1. His time at the university included a tour of Colombia as a member of a jazz group led by Dr. Bruce Dudley, where he taught clinics and performed. Since moving to Nashville he has performed in a range of styles that includes jazz/fusion, rock, pop, gospel and R&B music, with performances and recordings for artists Kate Kelly, Billy Stonecipher, Miranda Powell, Jon von Boehm, Sarah Jordan and Group Nap. He is the leader and principal songwriter of his instrumental funk group Deep Fried Organ. He has also played in the pit in Nashville performances of musicals such as Jason Robert Brown’s Five Years After, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock, and Tom Kitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Bring It On.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Kate Barr has always loved anything musical. From singing with her twin sister, to taking piano lessons starting at the age of 8, and participating in school musicals. That inherent love of music fueled her desire to study voice in college, eventually bringing her to pursue a degree in Commercial Voice with a music business emphasis at Belmont University in Nashville, from which she is about to graduate. Kate has had the incredible opportunity to sing with artists like Cody Fry and Ashley Cooke, as well as performing with her school ensemble Jazzmin in “Christmas at Belmont” on Amazon Prime this past holiday season. Kate mainly sings jazz, pop, soul, singer-songwriter, and more, but is a avid enjoyer of many different genres and is so excited to share her love of music with the younger generation!

Mr. Matthew is a multi-instrumentalist musician from Beloit, Wisconsin. He majored in Voice Performance at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, with a focus on opera/classical music, and graduated in May of 2024. With a long-standing background in musical theatre and opera, he loves performance and the multidisciplinary study of art. Matthew is thrilled to have the opportunity to teach at Franklin Brentwood Arts Academy, and to help others in achieving their musical and performance goals.

Ms. Abby is a multi-talented singer-songwriter and vocal coach based in Nashville Tennessee. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial music with an emphasis in music business. Ms. Abby’s music fits within a very niche music style, which includes, but is not limited to, a singer-songwriter folk style, elements of classical jazz concepts, and modern soft pop. She has ample knowledge of advanced music theory concepts and complex chord progressions and has an infinite love for using her music as a vessel for good. Ms. Abby is thrilled to be a part of the FBAA family, and has a passion for building rapport with her students, influencing them to be smarter, healthier musicians, and hoping they learn to find the same amount of solace, joy, and enthusiasm for music as she does.

Mr. Jase is a composer, arranger, and producer. Graduating from Belmont University, he is now based in Nashville, TN. Earning a degree in commercial music, Cortez is well trained in voice, guitar and piano, as well as music technology. He has also been in various music groups spanning many genres and several years. He has gained much knowledge and experience during his music career and is excited share and teach.

Ms. Heather was born and raised in Minot, North Dakota to two musicians. She started piano lessons at the age of 3 and quickly added cornet, guitar, and singing to her list of passions to pursue. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, she started her career as a professional figure skater, singer and emcee in ice shows. While singing and skating alongside some of the best figure skaters in the world, she fell in love with the high pace environment of show business. She now writes music and performs regularly, both as a solo artist and with a band, while still performing in ice shows and teaching piano lessons in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Trey is a long time music industry professional with over 20 years of professional experience. He studied and gigged throughout high school while playing with local orchestras and bands, and in 2010 won first in the world playing Marimba with Palmetto Percussion, a WGI group from South Carolina. After two years teaching as the percussion caption-head at a local high school, he decided to devote his time more toward drumset, and moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music, where he received a degree in Drumset Performance. For the following several years, he gigged professionally with original and cover bands, played drums for musical theatre in Boston, New York, and throughout New England, taught both voice and drumset to over 500 students, and directed and music directed for theatres in the area. Since his move to Nashville, he has become a prominent figure in the local recording and gig scene within the city, playing for several artists both new and established in the area, opened new live music venues downtown as an entertainment director and music director, and is the co-owner of Studio E33 Productions, a recording and artist development studio.

Mr. David is from Gulf Shores, Alabama, and is a graduate of Belmont University’s School
of Music. David grew up singing and playing piano in his home church and has 15+ years of
training in voice and piano, with emphases in both classical and commercial techniques. David is an experienced ensemble director recognized by the American Choral Directors’ Association and has sung behind artists such as Amy Grant, Trisha Yearwood, and Cody Fry. Currently, he sings tenor in Nashville’s very own Sonus Choir, a modern A cappella choir. He loves reading, hiking, and is excited to mentor your child in their musical journey!

David is an experienced ensemble director recognized by the American Choral Directors’ Association and has sung behind artists such as Amy Grant, Trisha Yearwood, and Cody Fry. Currently, he sings tenor in Nashville’s very own Sonus Choir, a modern A cappella choir. He loves reading, hiking, and is excited to mentor your child in their musical journey!
